Regional Manager- Linda Anderson I am currently planning the activities for the next few months. Over Easter there will be a strong focus on driver fatigue. This will be in conjunction with Police who will also focus on drink driving and speed. These are all contributing factors in some of the worst crashes in Hawkes Bay in the past. I am also working with the Project Team currently preparing the HB Youth Alcohol Expo, this is held from the 13th-17th May 2013 at the Pettigrew Green Arena. The Expo provides a hard hitting look at alcohol and the consequences of this when a vehicle crashes. These crashes affect the drivers, passengers and other road users. I would like to wish you all safe travels over the Easter weekend. Sleep well before travelling, take plenty of rest stops along the way, drink plenty of water and drive to the conditions. |
