Road Safe HB in conjunction with Eastern Police have re-developed the Party Register. This had been running a few years ago and had been very successful but needed a new ‘face’. The purpose of the Party Register is to encourage people to register their party with the Hawkes Bay Police. Then the party organiser receives an information pack. The benefits of registering the party and receiving the information pack include, the Police are aware of any parties occurring, particular if they involve larger numbers of guests, if anything goes wrong then the Police have a contact person they can speak to, also information provided supports the planning of a safe party including host responsibility requirements.
