Road Safe HB, NZ Police, HB District Health Board and Health HB have implemented the 2013 Hawkes Bay Youth Alcohol Expo. This was again a very successful event. The purpose of the Expo is to raise awareness of the risks of driving impaired either by drugs or alcohol. The key messages focus on planning to socialise safely, this includes planning to have a sober driver before you go out, ensuring your driver is sober and drug free. Also when socialising provide substantial food and other ‘party safe’ tips. The event is also supported by a number of associated agencies. The team would like to thank the schools and stakeholders for their ongoing support.
