Linda Anderson, Regional Manager Road Safe HB recently attended the ACC Conference in Auckland. Thank you to Sally Phelps (Injury Prevention Consultant, ACC) for arranging this opportunity.
Highlights of the Conference included international speakers who presented on marketing strategies, work place injury plans during the development of the Olympic Games facilities in the United Kingdom and other relevant topics.
One of the highlights was also a work shop held around a new joint driver licence program between ACC and the New Zealand Transport Agency. This was of particular interest as this is something that Road Safe HB will be focussing on in 2016. One of the issues for Hawkes Bay is the number of drivers who have either no licence or the incorrect licence which is a huge concern to all the road safety partners.
